With 211 miles of freshwater shoreline, Delta County is a excellent place to relax on a beautiful sandy beach. Play games with others on the beach or find your own private beach, either option is available in the Bays de Noc area.
Escanaba Municipal Beach
Pack your cooler and bring the family! There are many miles of clean sand to wander on as you relax your mind. Kids can play on the jungle gym right next to the public bathrooms. Build a sand castle then enjoy a family picnic with plenty of space to call your own.
Come take a dip in this pristine swimming area! There are Hawaiian themed umbrellas to rest under and a slide to entertain the kids for hours. Walk along the beach to the pier if you want to try your luck at fishing. There is a cleaning station right by the pier if you catch something! Gladstone Beach has a concession stand and public bathrooms during the summer months.
Indian Point Beach
When driving into Nahma on Ee 25, keep your eyes on the right hand side for a turn-off that dips down a hill to a gravel parking area. Park by the boulders then hike along the the trail to a huge span of beach opportunities.
Portage Point Beach
Drive south away from Escanaba on 35 then make a left on Portage Point 11.4 Lane. Follow this road until it dead ends, then park in the parking lot. Take one of the many trails to one of the various beaches. This a prefect spot to bring your bike and ride to each beach location or fish on one of the wooden piers.
Sac Bay Park Beach
For your own private beach experience, visit the Garden Peninsula for this gem. Head towards Fayette Historic State Park and drive past the entrance. Continue to head south until you reach 8th road where you will make a right. 8th road will dead end at Sac Bay Park, where you will find picnic tables and a beach with likely no one there.
