Events & Festivals


There is always something to do in Delta County. There are a wide range of events held throughout the year from large to small.  Please visit our Delta Chamber of Commerce Events Calendar for a full list of Events.

There are many small town celebrations throughout the year. Rapid River hosts events on Memorial Day Weekend.  Gladstone and Escanaba grab the attention at the Fourth of July, as does Nahma and Bark River. Rock is famous for its Labor Day celebration and Christmas gets its start in Escanaba with a big parade.

The Bays de Noc hosts many professional fishing tournaments throughout the year. Amateur anglers can compete in tournaments like the Jig It ice fishing contest in February.

Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship - 9/18/2014 - 9/21/2014
The culmination of the Bassmaster Elite Series season, this tournament will determine the 2014 Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year, the sport's prestigious achievement worth $100,000.

Delta County Century Ride - 9/21/2014
Family bike ride that includes routes for all endurance levels; 13km, 40km, 78km, and 100km. Ride includes expert SAG service and great rest stops where the only thing better than the view is the food! Put a team together to build camaraderie. Come the night before for registration and feast on a delicious Croatian chicken dinner with all fixings for the Bays de Noc Bike and Binge! Click here for more information.

9th Annual Rapid River Relic Snowmobile Ride, Show & Swap Meet. - 1/30/2015 - 1/31/2015

Registration for the ride is 9:30am-11:30am at the Quality Plumbing Building across from the Sal Mar motel in Rapid River. Cash or food donations are greatly appreciated for participation in relic ride. Ride will leave the Quality Plumbing Building at noon and will return for a bonfire at 4:30pm after the ride. Snowmobile show is January 31,2015 in downtown Rapid River. This years featured sled is Arctic Cat. Snowmobile registration is 9am-12pm at the Lions Club building. There will be food & drinks available at the Lions Club and sled registration fee is $2. There will also be swap for snowmobiles & parts- swap fee is $10. Trophies will be awarded at 3:30pm and there will be a Chinese raffle for various items in the Lions Club building. The 2015 raffle sled is a 1973 Arctic Cat Lynx 292cc-tickets can be purchased at the show.
